Fearless-Slingshot

Here is my take for Sketchy Thursday-Titled- Fearless and Slingshot- which was a ride two of my children dared each other to do while in Orlando, Florida back in 2005 when we were on a 10 day vacation. As you can see by their facial expressions- not sure what they were in for-yet had to prove to each other that they were fearless.
I turned my photo horizontally instead- since it work best this way. I used papers from my large stash which had circles and bright colors for the background pieces, cardstock for the Cricut cuts, using the cartridges Graphically Speaking, Tag, bags, boxes and more,  & George Basic Shapes. I inked all the edges in black and tied a ribbon on tag and cut from felt some circles and added some large brads. My little spray of colored dots in the left hand top corner - I used a pencil eraser as my stamp for the dot and 3 colors of ink-yellow green and blue.

Gobble-Gobble

Another few pictures of the girls (dogs) enjoying their Thanksgiving Dinner with us at the dinner table with great manners I might add...I know what your thinking! But it was just my husband and I and we do spoil them a bit and we thought why not let them enjoy the home-cooked meal also with us. They ate everything off their plate and made no messes either. Well this is a sketch from My Little Sketch Blook this week and its titled Gobble-Gobble. I used several different papers from Reminisce, Cloud 9, Ek Success and lazer cut floral and some solid cardstock. I used my Gypsy to weld the title words using Plantin Schoolbook(PS) and the tag cut from Tags, bags, boxes and more(TBBM) and used a four brass brads to attached them to the page. Other items used in the layout were brown inks, pumpkin -stamped and then chalked, pop dots, stickles glitter glue in copper, brown Zig pen for writing. I really liked how this layout turned out and I added a sketch from Creative Scrappers this week to make a 2-page layout with all the same papers.

Paper Poppy Kit= April Challenge

Over at Paper Poppy- another place I found this week they are having a challenge to include the following in a project: Colors -black & white, music symbol, andsong lyrics in the title. This adorable layout of my 2 dogs Jenna & Izzy is what I came up with this week.I used several cartridges on this layout also. Mickey and Friends for the bone borders cut twice and layered and I wrote in white marker some doggy sayings on them and pop dot them. Tags, boxes and more I used for the frames of the dogs to kinda look like windows-put some clear plastic on them and used white marker to make it look like a window, which may be hard to see in this picture. Lyrical Letters to do all the wording and musical notes all done on my Gypsy. I used a musical note paper and some other patterned black and white with a bit of poppy colored in it and black, brown and poppy colored cardstock. I again had fun doing this page..I just love my dogs I think they are the cutest .
