This is my take for Creative Scrappers sketch #142 this week and it's a few pictures of my mother-in-law at her 80th Birthday party that the family all got together for in Wisconsin back in 2004.
I used Misc. papers that I found in the colors of lavendar, white and green cardstock for tags and leaves. An 8" doiley which I chalked with yellow and green and distressed with brown ink. I made the flowers and spray mist them for their colors and added stickles and rhinestones. Stamped the title "Happy Birthday: and the 3 other tags with black ink and chalked them also. Added a lavendar flower border with white lace above it, hand drew with black marker the stitch look around the border of the page. Doris's (the birthday gal) favorite flowers were the color theme for the party- Iris and daffodils which they had lots of them in vases all over in the house.
