G stands for Great Grandma

Letter "G" is the challenge this month over at Scrapbookers Anonymous and here is my take on that. This is my childrens Great Grandmother on my ex husband's side, and I do not have but one or two pictures of her so I thought I would enlarge this one and scrap a page for each of my kids scrapbooks.
I handmade all the flowers either with punches or sewing some lacey ribbons and adding buttons and brads to the centers. I used a Cricut cut for the birdcage and added glitter to it
The title Great Grandma is white cardstock with Glimmer Mist bright pink and Glitter added to it also for some added shine
Martha Stewart butterfly punch ( I just love this punch) using my scraps and adding Glitter glue to them in the same colors of the papers ( notice the Green butterfly and buttons) and of course I used my glue (Yes paste) to put this page all together.

Unconditional LOVE

The SOUS challenge this week is LOVE and I just LOVE this layout of my daughter and her Fiance (who is getting married in 2 months) and I am getting pretty excited about this since we the family will be going to Jamaica for this wonderful celebration of marriage on Earth Day- so this photo is so appropriate. Also will be applying this page ovear at The Paper Variety for the Couple layout challenge
I used Cricut cartridges for all the leaves and fern cuts in several colors of green and layered them, tore the background papers, crimped some blue-grey cardstock and wrapped twine around it, stamped some phrases on paper and inked the edges and scattered them on the page and a simple but thin red cardstock for the matting just to pop the photos a bit. Added a few butterflies embellies and this nature theme  page is done.

Fearless...

I really enjoyed working with this sketch from Creative Scrappers#194- it worked out great for all these photos I had to display on a page. I turned the sketch sideways and work with it- used papers by Colorbok and Cricut cuts from Life is a Beach and Graphically Speaking cartridges and either colored or chalked the cuts added lots of pop dots for dimension. I finished by painting on the photos with white acrylics and adding stickles to the waves and title. The journal spot is empty so my friend whom I am doing this page for can add her own words.
Here is the sketch that I worked with

Shape it up x 3

This was a new kind of challenge this week over at Frosted Designs and so here is my take on this Shape it up x 3...  I have 3 x handmade flowers - 3 x butterflies- 3 x photos -3  x sticker sayings- 3 x journal spots- 3 x decorative brads.... wow alot of Three's in this layout-- great number to work with.
I just love this paper stack by Recollections "Charming" love the patterns and love love the colors. I toer away areas and backed them with this glittear circle pattern paper to pop thru. Layered the photos which I again painted on the mat look and then used Tulip fabric paint for the black flourishes I drew on
The best part of this layout is the 3 fabric flowers I made with some Making Memories special ribbon in blue and then a decorative brad for the center and then added some stickles for some more bling.
The brown ribbon on the side is also from Making Memories, I painted over the journal area of a precut journal spot- so I could write on it, added a plastic calendar and a oval chipboard with an added title  celebrate sticker. Then 3 butterflies and some little silk flowers and I was done with this fabulous page of my Daughter's College Graduation celebration Dinner- along with me and her boyfriend and his mother- now future husband and mother-in-law.
I know last week was suppose to be my last week as a Design Team member-but I couldn't help myself and so I joined in on the challenge this week and say goodbye to all the wonderful people I have worked along with at Frosted Designs its been a pleasure and I will be checking in weekly and probably doing a few challenges along the away. My Kids and their dates

On Christmas Day in 2007. What a wonderful year this was -everyone was home for Christmas- and I took lots of pictures that year with my new digital camera.
First time I used Rusty Pickle papers (2-sided)- which I have been saving for that special page( which we all do) so it was time to use up these special papers that I have bought. I painted around the edges of the photos to represent a matted look without the cardstock, tore edges and did a faux stitching around the outside of paper
using stampes I did the banner with white cardstock and used candy apple red Tattered angel mist then stamped the title  and applied with pop dots. Use a chipboard & piece and painted then stamped also, a few red heart shaped brads for the name tags and a felt holiday embellishments for the sub title at bottom.
Again- here is another layout using brads/eyelets for the challenge over at Frosted Designs this week-hurry up you still have until noon to get a project linked up.

Doggone cute...

Doggone cute...is the perfect title for my two Eskies... since I dont have any children around here I find myself taking lots of pictures of my dogs. I did another layout using the challenge over at Frosted Designs to use brads/eyelets on a project. So here is one using several eyelets and weaving or tieing twine in between them.
Since these photos were taken this fall, I thought I'd pull out some of my falls papers/colors by Me & My Big Ideas. I used 3 patterned papers and inked all the edges in dark brown. I then used my Big Bite to punch holes and attach all the orange eyelets.
Used some natural color twine to tie in between each eyelet, made a simple banner for the title over the two pages. I then added a bingo card to each of the dogs layout with their birthday number circles, and a few rub-ons
Well , you still have time to enter your project over at Frosted Designs this week- and I just wanted to say goodbye to the Design team- I am stepping down for awhile and have truely enjoyed the last year I have been creating pages and projects with all of their wonderful challenges and a great bunch of girls to work along with. I will miss them- but will be visiting every week.

Frosted Designs brad/eyelets Challenge

Here is my DT take on the challenge this week over at Frosted Designs to use brads /eyelets on a project. I did a layout of my ex-husband grandmother- so that would be my children's  great grandmother who passed away when they were very young. So, I thought I would dedicate a pager for each of their scrapbooks.
I used K&Company papers and border trims and 3 butterflies embellies, tulip fabric paint for the flourishes I made, a variety silk flowers, Cricut & Gypsy for the Title , Stickles, and of course my brads...
I used some gold jewel brads on top of the banner as the center of the flowers and below you can see I used a decorative fabric brad in the center of the large flower. I then used yellow Stickles for the center of all the other flowers. Then I attached a metal heart shape love tag to the flower.
So be sure to go thru your stash and pull out those brads and eyelets and put them to good use on a project this week and enter it over at Frosted Designs- Fabulous Fridays for a chance to win a prize from their sponsor this week.  Have a great weekend!

My daughters College Graduation pages

I thought I would post some pages that I have been working on for several scrapbooks so this post might be heavy with pics. My first born graduated from College YEAH..3 more to go back in 2007- so this was a very proud moment in our family. So I did several pages.

I went thu my black and white papers and pulled out everything and went from there- I didn't want the papers to distract from the pics so I used either stripes or plain papers. I tore a sheet from a notebook to journal on and inked the edges with Tim Holtz "old Paper" inks. Used my Gypsy  & Cricut for all the words and layered them with red and white cardstock. This 2 page is for my memory scrapbook.

And these (kinda blurry sorry) 2 pages are for my daughters memories. I used one of the programs we saved from her commencement and cut it up so embellish her page with. the college song, the program times, logo for 150th years  and her degree page and titles. I used all the same papers and Cricut cuts also.

Little Angel for Frosted Designs

Isn't she just a Little Angel? I thinks so, but that's because she is my grand-daughter. I did this lo while I was a my retreat a week ago and I also entered it in the Parade of Pages- as the most favorite page I did during the retreat. Everyone loved it- so pretty and love the cute stamps as a banner- they said.
Well I got the sketch from Sketch Along Tuesdays over at Frosted Designs and these photos were perfect for the sketch.
Materials used: Graphic 45 paper, DCWV green paper sanded, white and red cs, and photo paper embossed with Cuttlebug and folders, jewel brads, polka dot ribbon , red cord or ribbon for banner, Cricut and Gypsy for Title cut "Little Angel" on Coredinations paper sanded prior to cutting. Paper flowers misted with Clear Tattered Angel Mist, Stickles in red, Graphic 45 stamps cut out, and the Seasons Greeting precut embellie. So not only is this the sketch from Frosted Designs this week I incorporated the Ribbon/twine challenge in this layout also. This will be a treasured page in her scrapbook that for sure.
Be sure to check out all the challenges and the Love is in the Air Blog Hop scheduled for this weekend over at Frosted Designs

big SIS... little BRO

What a fun layout this was for me to do for the ribbon/twine challenge over at Fabulous Fridays at Frosted Designs this week. These 2 photos are of my 2nd  cousins, that I had the priviledge to babysit for while their mommy (my cousin) spent some quality time for herself on her birthday. The baby (Joshua) was only 2 weeks old and I loved holding him every minute and so did his big sister.
We R Memory Keepers papers, Recollections border punch, a colorful pink / orange gross grain ribbon in several spots on the page, stamps, brown & teal inks, Journal tag, chipboard alphas in green and sticker alphas in brown, chalks and a few brads to complete this "cute" page.
I stamped the birdhouse, branches and birds on cream colored cardstock and then fussy cut them to put on the page. I used some chalks to give them a bit of color.
Also added some colorful ribbon to the "cute" tag. Well be sure to stop by Frosted Designs to see some more wonderful projects that the Design team came up with this week and enter into our challenge of Ribbon/Twine on a project for a chance to win a prize from Memorable Seasons.

Debbie's Christmas Tree- guessing game

I just had to do a layout of all my trees that I had put up back in 2007 and all the fun we had with a game that I had played with all 22 of my guests(family) on Christmas Day. I just love to decorate for the Christmas season- but that year I went overboard and put of 5 treees and I counted all the ornaments on each tree as I put them on. Main tree with all handmade ornaments, SANTA tree with all santas, and 3 trees together with a variety of small and handmade ornaments. Then on Christmas Day, I had everyone guess how many on each tree and then a grand total of all ornaments ( not lights) and put them on the peices of paper that I had already designed and made copies of. There were 4 winners- who ever came the closet on their guess for each of the trees and the grand total winner - which my Uncle guessed right on the nose....Each recieved Gift cards from Starbucks- just something little for fun. Now the family wants to do this game each year...lol
I used ornament paper from Paper Heart( how appropriate) and plain cs for all the matting- tore the edges and inked with moss green , and three tags to identify each tree...simply layout-- but I love and will cherish the memories from this page.
