The paper (kraft color) is by My Mind's Eye which I just layered on the pics with small white borders and cut out some places that we visited from a brochure and inked them with Tim Holtz distressing ink-" old paper". I then hand stitched with cream embroidery floss some x x x scattered on the poage. and journaled in the red barn cut in the middle of the page.
This is kinda a plain looking page- but I wanted it to look that way since life was so simple at Amana Colonies.
I will be applying this layout over at Stuck on You Sketches this week for using a fence on a layout.
sooo pretty! Love the lamppost too.
ReplyDeleteLove all the images you cut from the Heritage cartridge!!! Love the corners and hand stitching!! Hope all is well with you.
ReplyDeleteGreat lo Debbie! I agree that simple is better for this one. But hey, look at all those awesome Heritage cuts! Love the lamp post!

I wish we had something like that around here..
I really find "old America" one of the most interesting things ever!
I am certainly NOT tough enough to have been a woman in that
time but there's something it does to me to remember that time,
read stories, etc. I am glad you shared this with us!!!!
Hope your week is going well!
xoxo Leah
