I have gone thru my finish scrapbooks and just picked a few layouts that I really like and why to display in my blog, so you can see some of my work.
This 2 page layout was on my daughter and we had a photo op that day, years ago but the lighting wasn't great. So I had to find papers that made the pictures stand out better. So i used a striped black and tan with peach. When I overlapped any pictures I changed the color of the matting and just embellished with coordinating flowers.
Here is another 2 page layout, which I don't do to many of them. All the pictures are of scenery so I highlighted the Title"Pictured Rocks with punched out circles with letters on them and then hand stitched around them as seen in the next picture close up. I really like how this turned out I like to tear my papers alot for a different look and goes well with this layout
This is a picture taken in Marquette Michigan at Presque Isle at the park by Lake Superior. This was our first visit and has become a tradition to visit this place every time we go there and we sit on this fallen tree stump every time. But I like how I did the colors in the layout and the papers used
Here is a close up of the acorn stamp that I used and put one on top of the other raised with a pop dot to give it demension and I just hand printed the name of the place we visited. And these pictures bring back some great memories for family times we shared.
One of my favorite 2 page layouts of my son Brian on his first train ride when he was about 4 years old. I love everything about this page the colors, papers and the little embellishments added to tell the story about our day .
This 2 page took me so long to do cause I hand drew everything and cut it out. I like how I was able to get so many pictures on this LO and room to tell the story also. It was my son's first big birthday party when he was in first grade. So we put on a magic show and took pictures of each kid when Eric was opening their gift. I cut stars and put each kids name on it by their picture, plus one big group photo in the middle.
I had fun with layout of all 4 of my kids with their school pictures.I used a flower pattern paper then stamped on other colored paper and cut out and scattered around the page and added a few tags and journal spots to write onAnother one of my favorites, taken back in 1995 of my children around Christmas time. I used a vellum as my Title Families are Forever and another vellum along the bottom, matted the pics in white and attached 3 large pink flowers and tied on some scrappers floss. so simple and easy and turned out so nice.
This page is still in progress, I haven't journaled on it yet still trying to find my detailed information. But it was at a Family reunion. I like the layout and the stitching I did on it and the colors, this one just 1 of 4 pages I did of the reunion and each generation. This is the first or oldest generation at the reunion. and then some misc. pics of the day on the bottom.
A great picture of my girls and their grandmas at a wedding reception back in 1989. Titled- Mother and daughters. Used several matching patterned papers and chipboard flowers and swirls and a journaling tag.
This was a fun page to do of my grandmother who has passed away a few years ago, so when I found these pictures of her I just had to scrapbook them. She loved her flowers and her trees in her yard. I used butterfly lazer cut paper and backed most of them with different colors of solid cardstock and just journaled on stripes of paper for each picture.
Another child portrait that I had taken in the spring of some year and I got the idea for the page colors from the dress that my daughter Cheryl had on in the picture. On the left have is pre cut lazer daisies on black and white and I added the yellow paper behind a few of them, the other side is stamped and cut daisies and colored centers scattered on page love how it turned out. Also cut the picture with my oval cutter.
I like the simplicity of this layout, but it took me a long time to do. But I can't see it with this picture, but I traced over all the diagonals with a gold glitter glue and hand stitched around the pictures and tag. added a few diamond brass brads and ribbon .
