I've only been gone 3 days and so glad to be home missed my cricut MB and my scraproom. I'm so glad to be home and ready to scrap tomarrow- have a few new challenges to work on. But, I did visit a scrapbook store in Fairview Heights, Il(near St.Louis- that was just Fabulous...wish I had more time and money to spend at this place. It was called the Scrapbook Factory and had everything you could possibly want or need and the customer service was great and very friendly, so if you are ever with in an hour of this place it worth the trip to visit it, you wont be sorry. Thanks to my friend Linda aka cjsnana for telling me about this store, she lives in the area and she let me know of its whereabouts, while I was at my state bowling tournament this past weekend. Well gotta to get to bed and get ready for a fun day in my scrapbook room.

Somebunny loves you |
This is my easter/pastel project for FCCB Challenge # 2 .I decided to do a 12 x12 layout for future Easter pictures of my grand-daughter, who justed turned 1. I used a grey patterned paper for background with a teal colored lazer cut paper that I sprayed with a glimmer mist in lime green . I used GW for the bunnies, egg shapes, the basket is from DC, the tag is cut from George and all the lettering is from GF, using my Gypsy to weld together. I used fiskars templates to dry emboss the basket and eggs and then chalked them in different pastel colors. I highlighted the somebunny loves you with glitter glue"diamond" The tag I used the negative of Happy Easter and chalked behind , attached with a brad from making memories.I then glued some silk flowers with button brads and tied on some green scrappers floss. I used pink and purple cardstock for the matted frame areas and inked the edges in purple. So this page will be ready when I get those adorable pictures of the granddaughter in a few week

Here is my take on sketch 1 of this weeks LID challenge Titled Ms Diane. She was my 4 kids bus driver as was retiring after 22 years at our school. I used Lyrical Letters for title and cut several flowers from Accent Essentials and 2 leaves in serveral different colors. Stamped abig THANKS on square paper for center of flowers. attached with brads. used a ribbon punch and put the gold ribbon thru and ink all the edges in coffee bean. Highlighted the letters and leaves with a glitter pen
Heres is sketch 2 from LID challenge a very simple layout. Used a black with polka dot paper and used Tear Drop to cut the title out and used the negative part of the banner and back it with bright colorful striped paper. The present is from SYI and punched a few dots from colored paper to attach to present, matted the pictures in a thin white cardstock. It was my son Brians 11th birthday.
Total Layouts done for 2010: 80

Misc. layouts that I like of Eric
Labels:
layouts for Eric
I like the colors and the pictures of eric in this layout. Simple marroon colored background with polka dot paper and letters cut out for Title SAY CHEESE, cause he has that cheesy smile all the time.
I like this layout of pictures and especially the ones I cut up of all the 4 kids. I used patterned paper to cut out the flower embellishments and added glitter glue and stamped acorns and layered them for the 3-d look and some butterflies scattered on paper with some rub-ons for sub titles on page
This is a layout I did for both eric and linda. I scrap lifted this from some magazine. I like the way the picute and paper where cut at an angle. I then cut parts of a patterned paer out with the tree limbs and owls or birds and put them in 3 spots and added a tag for journaling and the colors are wonderful also.
Love the colors especially when I can get away with it on a boys page. Eric and Jenna on the day Eric was leaving for college. I used several patterned papers with the bright pink and tore the edges and laid them scattered and cut out the flowers and stems from prepattern paper and stamped the title on off white gross-grain ribbon. Also used black lettered brads to attach to ribbon also. made a journaling tag and used black square brads. Double matted the pics in black and white which makes them really pop
I like this layout because of the colors and the twine I sewed in and the colors I used to pull out from Erics shirt he was wearing . I also put dots behind the top middle picture to make it stand out more thatn the others.
This was a fun page to do. Eric was about to open this package, he was so excited about it. It was his first kite from grandam. So what a prefect title Go fly a Kite. I used 3 patterned papers and cut one big circle from one of them to put behind picture and hand cut some kites and attached brown string to them, and sticker letters for the title.
Eric with our new puppy GIZMO use bright green cardstock and some bright patterned dog paper and half covered with lazer cut teal paper on left side. Addeda journal area and cut Gizmo from my cricut using George. At the time this was the only cartridge I had.
The pictures aren't that great but I like the circles that I cut out attached with small brads, but I stamped 4 words on each circle and used white precut letters for the title. And the circle patterned paper goes well with the theme.

Some of my favorite layouts of Brian
Labels:
layouts of Brian
I love the colors in this layout and they match his shirt. So I jus punched several squares out and stamped a pattern of lettering on each one and layered them on the black cardstock to create a simply layout.
I used several items for texture on this layout of Big Wheels. I like the colors and inked edges and used pop dots for a 3-d look and journal on blue paper.
I like the layout and was able to have alot of room for journaling on this page even with 4 pictures. Just used a simple patterned paper and added white letters for titled and some rub-on dragonflies in a few areas on page.
I likes how I used the leaf pattern of some paper I just cut the part out that I wanted and used as a border on the pages. And the whiter pattern templates for journaling which I needed alot of space for that, and the colors are very simple so it would not distract from the pictures.
This was a fun page. I used fish pattern paper for background and crimped olive green strip on side added fun fur in a variety oc colors and layered on paper the letters for the title Tick Creek. added a metal charm bracelet like at the top that had fishing engraved on it.
This is my most favorit layout of my boys. When they were about 4 and 3 dressing and posing one day for pictures. So I put one in black and white for contrast and the individual ones colored. I used a reddish pattern paer for background and stamped in black ink the title or saying all around the border and used a white gelly ink roll pen to fill in all the letters. And added a piece of rope liek a looso on the top of the pictures. I just love this page.
I like this layout cause I used some scrap papers and just laid them vertically on layout and added some stamped swirls and a journaling area and some brad letters for title. A simple a quick page done for Brian dancing with cousin and sister.
Pictures taken at Great America, or Six Flags by our house of the boys having a fun time in the kiddie section. Used a couple different papers and cut out stars and attached with brads.
I just love this page especially the pictures of Brian. He thought he was so cool with these shades on. So I titled it Mr Hollywood and used some bought filmstrips and felt lettering and a precut directors chair. I did this layout several years ago when I first started scrapping. It was simple and cute when I finished it.
Another page that I like it was a simple layout with 2 papers in stripes and doubled matted pics with cut out dinosaurs from paper and 2 journaling tags attached with brads. I love the colors in this page, and just love the pics of my son when he was about 3.
Here is my buddy Brain at about 6 months old during a photo op at home. I made the circle on the computer with the saying, Buddy, you are the happiest little boy" which he was. I then just cut all the pictures in different size circles and scattered them on the page. I hand doodled black dots all around the pics to make them stand out a bit more.
I just like the colors in this layout, they go with Brians shirt and titled it Graffiti, because we painted his name on a rock in Michigan out at my uncle's camp, while he was fishing.I used acrylic paints for the title and attached a journaling tag and chipboard arrow.
I just have to laugh when I look at this page of my boys aka "Brianna and Erica". My daughters loved dressing them up in there younger years and It was fun for me to do this page in pinks and flowers. I stamped the flowers on paper and cut them out and used stickers for the names and a journaling tag.

picture frame project
This is a project I and my daughter work on for hours and we are so happy the way it turned out. Its a frame about 3' x 1 1/2' with several photos mixed black and white and colored. We used gypsy font for the title and some other embellishments treasure and gypsy wanderings for the swirls. My daughter wrote a poem to add to this project. We cut a couple of the pictures in stripes and chalk the sand on the bottom photo. This is going to look so nice in their new place.

More layouts from the past that I like
Labels:
misc layouts
This page I like the bright colors and looks real summery I just punch out some circles that were already on paper and scattered them on the page like a border added a few little tags for names and date and torn the paper underneath in 4 sections
This page was fun to do because I just drew and cut out all the embelishments the notes and record and did all my journaling on them for this %0's theme wedding reception , using the colors of black and white with the pink of course.
This is an eye catching page because of the circles and rectangles in the layout. In one circle is a compass, one for journaling and the other circle has a picture in it plus I love the colors, which I try to pull out in the kids clothing to make it pop a little for who ever's page I'm doing so they stand out when someone looks at the page.
Of course I like this disney page because of the mickey mouse ears for the center of the page and a few embellishments scattered that I either cut from paper or drew on my own like the hands. Alot of pictures for a 2 page layout with a few journaling tags. This 2-page layout was for my daughter Cheryl.

Older Layouts I've done for daughter Cheryl
Labels:
layouts of cheryl
This is of my second daughter Just some misc pictures of her one summer that I wanted to scrap ,I like the cut stripes I did on top of the page and stapled them on
This page I like because of the way I tore the paper to make it look like sand and the background paper to look like the sky and put the picutes so they lined up the fence in the background. The girls loved making sand castles in the sandbox and swinging in the summer
Here are some cute pictures of Cheryl so I used a template to cut the paper to look like a fence and added ribbon and some tages and stamped the words on them simply but cute
This is when we went to Florida for a week and spent some time at the ocean and the water park I like again the sand look with torn paper and the little splash I cut out with her picture in it added some fibers and charms
This is Cheryl in 3rd grade and her school picture I like this page cause I matched the papers to her dress and love all the stamped flowers that I cut out of colored scrap papers.
I used several colorful patterned papers for this layout to work with the colors in the pictures. I used strips to journal on and added brads to attach them
With this layout I cut from some patterned paper just the part I needed to look like a wave and added chipboard letters covered in pink glitter. The girls were jumping off a bridge in key west and having fun at the pool and on the beach. Used a striped paper to act as the matted area for the pics.
Love this 4th of July layour. I used brown wrapping paper and crimpped it and used it for the background on the left side of page and also for the journaling area. Cut of some pre designed hearts and flag and added butoons and tied little red thread in several places on the page. The corner on the picture are also crimped paper with red thread tied on. With more buttons scattered on the page.

Older Layouts I've done for daughter Linda
Labels:
layouts of Linda
Here are a few layouts I have done in the past that I either like the technique or just over all look. I went thru all 16 of my scrapbooks that I have completed so far and pick out a few to put here on my blog.
This first one is of my 2 daughters titled baby sister I like how I did the title in this one and the colors. again not the greatest pictures but this was back in 1986..I didn't think I would be scrapbooking them in the future.
This is a cute picture of the girls at bath time which they just loved and got along so well in the tub. I like how i matched the paper with the tub tile and used a vellum rub a dub dub.
This photo was so old and dark I had it copied and lighted up a bit to do, it was my first daughters big Boo Boo. Our cat jumped up onto the bed and accidently scratched her face and she till now (25 yrs old) has a little scar from it. But I had this stamp of a band-aid and thought this was appropriate for this page
This layout - I did for a mono-cromatic theme. So as you can see that would be blues. I again used chipboard for the circles over in a bubbly paper with glitter, different blue patterned paper for background and title letters for Kisses, and the tag. I also cut one picture in the shape of a fish. Since she is swimming with the dolphins and getting kisses from them while in Florida.
This layout I love the colors and the embellishmentsI used blues and browns for my color scheme since that is what she was wearing in the picture and used chipboard for the swirls and the letter F for freshman and added a glaze to them I then added a few silk flowers.
